1.) Affordable and does the job

I was looking for an accurate digital scale and this was the most affordable one I found on Amazon.com. It is fully functioning right out of the box and works great. However there are a few things you should note:

Minor Concerns:

1) To conserve battery [included] you must first tap the scale to turn it on and wait a second or two for it to zero. Originally I had some trouble with this because the center spot indicated to tap is not very sensitive. I found tapping lightly on the left of the center seems to work well.

2)Once you read your weight, you only have about two second to quickly press the save button on the scale. Please understand that the button cannot distinguish between different users and simply records the last 5 measurements if you press and hold the button.

However I didn't feel these problems should result in the deduction of a star because of the price.

Redeeming qualities:

1) Cheap
2) Works right out of the box
3) Large display with weight increments of 0.5 pounds
4) Good precision [reproducibility of the measurement]- I checked my weight three times in a row and it showed the same weight.

Conclusion:

If you are looking for an affordable digital scale, this works great!

PS: you need to open the battery cover [I used a flat-head] to remove the tape attached to the battery to turn it on when you receive it.

I didn't really want another battery operated scale, but the price was right and it got good reviews, so I gave it a shot. I'm glad I did. It lets you set to pounds or kilos and it weighs to the 1/2 pound. It seems pretty accurate, I can even weigh my 30 pound grandson with pretty good accuracy. It's a thin scale, but not paper light, like some I've seen. It's easy to read, even with my glasses. It's less accurate on carpet, but they all seem to be; so I keep it on a hard, flat floor. All and all, I'm very happy with this scale. I tossed out my Walmart scale.

I bought this scale after reading the Amazon reviews and am glad I did. It takes up 1/3 the space of my old scale and gives an on-the-nose reading (confirmed on a doctor's scale). I'm encouraged by my weekly weigh-ins because this scale measures my loss by 1/2 pound increments, which the old scale could not do accurately. This helps me stay on target with my weight-loss plan.

I literally could not find a decent scale in the Milwaukee area, so I turned to Amazon and found the Conair Thinner scale. It's wonderful! It's quite compact and slim, so that moving it around is a breeze. Using its LED feature is quite easy, and it's very accurate in comparing it to my doctor's standing scale. I highly recommend this product.

Works very well. The previous scale I owned - which was more expensive and included a body fat calculator - would give a different result every time I stepped on it. This one works perfectly, and gives me an identical result every time I get on it. It's also accurate, as it gives the same result (within 0.5 pounds) as when I use someone else's scale. I'd recommend this scale in a second.

This is the first time I have purchased a scale. I got it mainly because of the price but after reading the reviews - I felt like I was making a good choice. I love it! Its thin...light...and I dont have to buy any batteries for it; what more can you ask for? I dont have other scales to compare it to but I am glad I did buy it.

It works great, it's my first time I purchased a digital scale. I bought it because of the low price and I am very happy that I did buy it after thinking a lot and not being sure if it would be a good scale, but now I can say it is wonderful. All my family use the scale since it arrived, two three times a day and always gives the correct measure. We love this scale!!!

This scale is the best one yet, that I've owned. I have another digital scale and it's way off by more than 7 pounds. This one is right on, and will HIGHGLY recommend this to anyone. I need something to be as accurate as possible and this one is it.

Works great. It is the only scale I have ever had that if I get off and get back on it ALWAYS shows exactly the same weight as the one provided seconds earlier. Since I weigh in the same way, at the same time, in the same place, on the same scale this gives me a lot of confidence in the readings. Cutting calories and walking some I have lost 14 pounds so far this year! Praise the Lord! Another 10 and I will be where I want to be...

My family and I have been using this scale for over a month now. It has been working great. It is light weight and I can stack it easily inside my vanity after I am done using it.

This is a great product if you are looking for a simple, low priced, good quality, accurate weighing scale.

I wanted a electronic scale so I can see clearly to the decimal paces. This scales works well for its purpose and the large display screen makes it easy to read. I have used it to weigh my luggage too (by standing on it while holding the luggage and then subtracting my weight). It is very accurate (I checked when I was at the airport), definitely a worthy buy.

I bought this Thinner scale to replace another model of Thinner scale that developed a hole in the plastic top covering. This new one is much lighter in weight than that older scale, but is rugged enough. The scale is reliable, giving the same reading consistently within .5 pounds and is accurate, giving my true weight. I know it is my true weight because I checked with a balance scale in the gym. Balance scales are the kind that doctors use. The older Thinner was off by 3 pounds. This scale is ready to be stepped on in a few seconds after turning it on by stepping on it briefly and the numbers are large enough to read without my glasses.

I read many reviews before buying this scale. Although all digital scales have some errors, this scale is pretty accurate, especially if you put it on hard surface. In this price range it is one of the best choices. It's recomandable.

It is not the most precise scale out there, but a good value for the price you pay. It is lightweight and compact. Good bathroom scale if you do not want to let go of more than 30 bucks. So far, so good for me...

It is an okay scale. When I check my weight, and repeat a few minutes later my weight is slightly different. I have not found a very accurate scale yet, and I think having this one is better than having nothing at all.

I bought this because I was looking for a basic, accurate scale. The price was great (~$20 on Amazon), and the scale works great. You do have to tap the scale with your foot to turn it on. It takes 2-3 seconds before you can stand on the scale, but I've found it to be precise (gives me the same number 2 or 3 times in a row if I weigh myself within a minute). Overall, a solid purchase if you're looking for a basic scale.

I like this scale. It feels good to me feet. The weights that I have scored seem to be accurate based on comparison with the scale at the gym. So I recommend it.

This is an "easy to read" scale that calibrates at each reading. The numbers are easily readable but they don't stay visible but for a few seconds so read it quickly! (Have your glasses ready!). It is light weight and has a "recall" button to keep a record of weight. It *does* differ a few pounds off, however, with the scales at WEIGHT WATCHERS' meeting!!

I like this digital scale. It's easy to use and easy to read. On the first 2 days that I used it, I wasn't sure how accurate it was: I would weight myself twice in a row and get 2 different weights. But after the first 2 days, it seems to have "settled in", and has been very reliable ever since. Even if I weigth myself 3 times in a row, I get the same result. I like that the scale reports weight in 1/2 pound increments - even a 1/2 pound weight loss is encouraging!

More than 3 months, still good. Only one little problem. When I first stand on it, it shows 100lbs, then my friend step on, it's 160 lbs, and then I step again, it shows 100.5 or 101 lbs. And if I change the scale from LBS to KG, it doesn't match, like 0.5kg more or less.Anyway, I'm satisfied with it.

When I first got this scale, I would have rated it only one or two stars, because I had the same experience as some others - if I weighed myself twice within, say, 30 seconds, I'd weigh 1/2 pound more the second time. This went away after a few weeks of daily use, though - I suppose that at this price point, the fit between components is not perfect, there is some flex and such, and the thing needs some use to settle in. Now mine seems to be settled in, and having stacked weights on it a few times with the same results makes me confident that it has enough accuracy and repeatability for its intended purpose.

I like this scale. I bought it awhile ago, and it has traveled well, and I think it's pretty sturdy. It seems to remain accurate. Its a nice simple scale, and i like how you calibrate it everytime you use it. If I could change one thing, I would wish it was a little bigger, but thats not because Its a small tiny scale, but only because i really want a larger scale. :)

I read all the reviews before buying this scale, so I felt pretty good about my purchase. Unfortunately, it doesn't work... at all, ever. Now I have to send it back, which is an enormous pain in the you know what. I'm sure it's just a fluke, but still major inconvenience!
