I love this scale!! It is very accurate! I am glad I took the 5 star advice. As to the one star review listed above: The instruction manual states, that if it is moved, to weigh yourself once to reset it (disregarding the weight as it will be wrong), and then step back on it for the accurate weight. Also the manual tells you to stand still on the scale for an accurate reading. If you move around or shift on any scale digital or dial it will throw a scale off. It always helps to read the manual.
The scale is very accurate to my Drs office, and is never inconsistent more than two tenths of a pound which is minimal and expected. I am so happy I bought a new scale as my other one was quite inconsistent and was difficult to track my maintenance weight.
2.) Great Scale

I love this scale. Unlike the previous review, I found it to be accurate consistently, and it matched my doctor's professionally calibrated scale when compared within an hour of each other. Beautiful design, easy to read numbers with that great blue background. I would recommend it to anyone!
3.) perfect: a no-frills, good-looking scale

I wanted a simple, reliable scale that would just tell me how much something weighs. This scale works perfectly. It looks simple and elegant. The display is back-lit, and the numbers are very large. To turn it on, you step on it, and wait for it to display 0.0. A minor note- although the picture of the scale seems to imply it has a subtle beveling, it does not. It's totally flat. And when they say "ultra thin", they mean it! It looks very chic.
When I was looking at scales, I noticed a very common theme: people complaining about not getting a consistent reading. I can only conclude that those people do not know how to use a scale. Anyone who's used the old-school dial scales knows how sensitive these things are. Just sway your body side-to-side a little bit, and the needle would rock back and forth. The same is true for these digital scales. You must place the scale on a flat surface, and stand still! It's that simple. This scale gave me very consistent readings (down to 0.5 lbs) when I repeatedly got on and off. Just for kicks, I tried it on a tile floor, and it still worked fine.
It is still very sensitive though, and you can affect the reading simply by leaning your head forward (though never more than by 0.5 lbs). It has a feature built in for this though- after you stand on it for about 5 seconds, it holds the number being displayed. This way, you can stand upright with your eyes level each time you weigh yourself, and use the same posture every time. Simply tap it to reset it back to zero.
The only thing that could be improved is that it's a little hard to turn on. You basically need to stand on it for a brief moment. It does not respond to tapping.
4.) Sleek and Sexy

I love how this scale looks and the back light lets you weight yourself at night. It looks really sleek in any modern decor and it is very thin. I weigh myself everyday and the numbers are consistent. Just make sure the scale does not wobble due to uneven flooring. I had to move this scale around the apt until I found a place on the floor where it did not wobble so the scale can get accurate readings.
5.) Great scale for the price

My daughter-in-law requested a digital scale as a gift and I bought this one. She's thrilled. She loves the design - it's very thin - low profile, yet the display is nice and bright.
She works in a doctor's office and has confirmed her scale is extremely accurate, right down to two-tenths of a pound! Says this will definately help her keep on track...Wonderful product!

So far, so good. I've had this scale but a month, so can't testify as to its longevity, but it's slim, good looking, bright blue backlit digital read-out easy to see especially early in the morning when you're not quite focused. A snap to set up and use.

It's a scale, it's thin, it works. As to accuracy, I don't have any calibrated equipment handy to make comparisons.
10.) depends on the weight

Weighs great if you're a light person. But when the weight goes up to 180, 200, etc, the display never stops changing, unlike what the brochure said (flashing 3 times to indicate final weight). Other than that, it's a sleek design, easily fits anywhere.
11.) Attractive Scale

The numbers do bounce around quite a bit, it's hard to know when to look down. I wish there was an auditory beep so you don't mess with the reading. I like that it measures in such small increments. It is extremely precise even on my 25 pound sons, I didn't expect it to weigh them but they like standing on it so I turned it on. It was the same as the drs scale. It's an extremly attractive scale. I love how thin it is.

I've had my scale for about a month and I'm very happy with it so far. It's accurate (I compared it to 2 other reliable scales), lightweight yet sturdy and easy to read. It definitely has a sleek modern look to it and the stainless steel does not show footprints. Overall, no complaints.

16.) Lasted less than 8 mos

Item is attractive and worked well for about 7.5 months. Then it totally stopped working. Replaced batteries, not the problem. Scale now shows random numbers and then goes black whenever you try to use it. Totally worthless. It's still under warranty, but Taylor requires you to pay shipping both ways, which is more than the $50 I spend on the scale originally. Even with shipping, they will only repair, not replace the scale. Item is made in China, as was every consumer item that has broken prematurely on me in the past year. I will now look for a scale that suits my needs that was made in a country with some better quality control.
17.) Looks great, but . . .
Reviewed by: J. E. Barkan Asheville

this scale is so sensitive to the tiniest irregularities in the surface you place it on and to any shift of your weight while standing on it, that it is useless. It fluctuated wildly depending on where I placed it, showing differences of up to 3 and 4 pounds within minutes, which is not helpful if you are using it to track weight loss. The design is sleek and beautiful, the backlit readout is clear and easy to read, but unless you are buying it as an objet d'art, forget it and buy a Tanita (as I did when I had returned this one).
18.) It was great for nearly three weeks.

I was happy enough with this thing while it worked, for almost three whole weeks. With a lifetime warenty I assumed it would last significantly longer than that, and it just doesn't seem worth sending it in to be fixed when it is worth $[...] bucks.
