I did two tests on this scale. First, I weighed myself and got off the scale. Then I repeated that. The weight was the same both times. Second, I weighed myself carrying two 20 lb dumbells. Then I weighed myself without them. The result was 38.8 lbs lighter, which in my opinion is good enough.

The scale is attractive and fits in anywhere, since it is almost all glass. The edge of the glass was a bit rough on the underside edge (not on the edge where you stand).

It would be nice if the scale lit up when you stood on it.

This scale was a replacement for a Tanita, which worked fine for several years, then it started eating up batteries. I had to replace the lithium battery every few weeks, whereas the original lasted years.

Update on November 26, 2009: Scale continues to work perfectly.

This is the 7th scale I've tried - both digital and analog. All of the others, regardless of their prices, were inaccurate - sometimes ridiculously inaccurate. This scale is sturdy, stylish, inexpensive and, most important of all, accurate to a 10th of a pound.

We purchased this scale over a month ago. We are quite happy with the looks and function. The scale turns on very quickly, with just a toe tap on the top surface. We have found that it is very repeatable, within 0.2 Lb between several weighings.

I LOVE this scale! Great looking; very consistent weighing if you take several readings in a row; accurate with my Doctor's scale and small changes [different clothes on, before & after dinner, etc.]. I don't understand the ratings that say it is hard to start - I just put my foot on it for a second, step back, watch it zero in, and step back on. It just takes seconds!

There isn't an awful lot to say about this scale aside from the fact that it's stylish and accurate. It is easily the best looking scale I have seen, very modern looking. I performed the "dumbbell test", in which I weighed myself, and then weighed myself holding a 25-pound dumbbell. It was within 0.1 pounds of the predicted weight. I was initially skeptical of the sturdiness of the glass platform, but after using it, I am very impressed. Well worth the money.

My two 40 pound dumbbells weigh in at 41.2 pounds on this scale. I'm not sure where the inaccuracy lies, but they weigh the same every time. So I know this scale accurately reflects changes in my weight. It may read a pound or so off the actual, but I'll gladly take that over other scales that read different every time I step on them... or depending on where on them I step. It is by far the best for the money I have seen.

Well, it does what a scale is supposed to do. Pretty much a 'no brainer'.
The main use I have for it is to weigh airline luggage before flight - so as to keep within the latest parameters.
The scale looks clean and attractive. It will fit in anywhere.
It gives a consistent reading - provided you read and follow instructions.
I just hope that it will be working a year from now.

Awesome scale: solid, accurate, and provides repeatable measures down to 0.2lbs. It is bigger and thicker than I thought, which I love. Overall, it is a beautiful piece of gadget that fits in any room.

This is a great scale. It's very stylish and easy to keep clean. I haven't done an official accuracy test, but it seems very close to what I've been weighed in at the doctor's office. Overall, seems like a great purchase.

Our old Health.O.meter scale broke (4 years old), so we decided to go with the simple/cheaper kind since that one had all kinds of features and was rather confusing to me. Also, the old scale was in 0.5 lb increment which I didn't find very helpful when I'm weighing my dog (chihuahua).
Anyway, I think I spent about couple hours reviewing scales here on amazon.com and decided to go with this one based on the customer reviews and the price.
The shipping was fast considering it was super-saver free shipping (ordered on the 2nd, received it on the 8th).
It works great and I love the 0.2 lbs increment and also the fact that you can convert it in to kilograms. I'm Korean and we use kilograms instead of lbs, so my folks can actually use it when they come visit me without having to ask me "how many kilograms is this 150 pounds!?!"
When you step on the scale, it feels sturdy and well-built. Very easy to use, read, and turn it on. I weighed myself probably about 20 times the first day I received it and seemed accurate every time. It doesn't have all those complicated features, buttons, etc. It works AND looks great, super easy to use and cheap. What more can I ask?

This scale is beautifully constructed, reminding me of some finely machined product produced by a Swiss watchmaker. The clear glass and silver metallic frame make for a very handsome scale. It would not be satisfactory on carpet but on a hard surface the accuracy is exceptional, and in my experience, it registers the same weight consistently in my tests. Really the best scale I've ever owned and I strongly recommend it.

I am nearing the end of major weight loss and was dismayed when my faithful mechanical Health o Meter scale suddenly died. I ordered the Taylor 7506 Precision Tech Lithium-Battery Electronic Glass/Chrome Scale from Amazon; and just as some of the reviews said, it almost immediately got stuck on one weight and wouldn't budge. I should have stayed with Health o Meter as my old scale had lasted around 12 to 15 years. My new Health o Meter is great--consistent, accurate, simple. I highly recommend it.

This is a very heavy and sleek looking scale. The numbers are large. It seems big enough to hold anyone. I had no problem getting it to work and it seems quite accurate and precise. It measures closer to my doctors scale and is more accurate than my plastic digital scale i paid just as much for. The only problem is, it measures you once and reads out, so you have to get off and stand on it several times to make sure you are getting a precise reading. I wish they would make digital scales that show the fluctuations when you move around like dial scales do. If you know of one, please tell me.

We had this for a couple of months now and I am pretty happy with it. I am ball-parking the accuracy to about 1/2 a lb using a professional scale at the gym for benchmark. I cannot imagine needing more accuracy than that for normal use. Incidentally, I have lost 40lbs in 12 months and I am keeping it off thanks in part to this scale so I know when I had a bad week and I did not eat right. It is somewhat annoying that you have to tap first and then step in when compared to a mechanical one but the cost and the accuracy more than make up for it. This model is also a lot faster than the competition. It may cost $10 or so more than other digital units out there but it is worth it.

I originally rated this scale a 1 because it would not turn on. I decided to give it one more try before packing it up for return. That's when I noticed that the red slip of paper sticking out of the battery compartment was NOT an inspector's tag. (I'd been careful not to disturb it in case I had to return the scale.) In four different languages, it said "Please Remove" and English was not the first. (Yet another reason for me to hate multilingual packaging and labeling.) Once I got the paper out, which required completely removing the battery, everything worked just fine. I feel the instructions should have said something about the need to remove the tag.

I bought this product looking at the reviews with a very good rating. Here is what I feel about it. This is a bit too heavy. I received the product in a defective condition (it would not work in the lbs mode) but only in kg mode. So had to return it back

After reading the reviews on Amazon, I decided to buy this scale as a gift for my sister. The scale looks nice, but it is only accurate to +/- 2 pounds, which isn't good enough for me. I would recommend looking for another scale.

This scale "worked" in the beginning although one's weight between two successive weighings (within one minute) often varied by as much as a pound. Now all that we see in the display is the error "E" when we tap on the scale. The battery tests as fully charged. A final word on this. I returned the scale for a partial refund of $26.80. My cost to return this item was about $12. So my takeaway from all of this is that I am going to shop locally for products which have a likelihood of failure. I have ordered expensive power tools and even a 52" LCD TV in the past but I really need to rethink this. I am fortunate that this experience resulted in only a small loss and a gentle warning. I liked online shopping for the obvious convenience but as they say "Travel at you own risk.".

After reading many god reviews for this scale I purchased one from Amazon. Confident in its reliability I set it up as the directions said. The first time I got on the scale it read over 300lbs. (I am 159 fully clothed). The next time was around 260. So I tried to recalibrate it. Third time my wife got on she weighed 50lbs over her weight. Normal for her is 150. Tried it a few more times, different each time. So boxed it up and sent it back.
Purchased a WW scale, the same type and am happy with it. Each weigh in is accurate to the lb.

This has been an excellent scale for these last few months - highly accurate, slick design - until, in moving it with my foot, it struck the bottom of the bathroom toilet and shattered like automobile glass, little nuggets scattered all over the bathroom floor. I suspect I hit it in exactly the wrong place, as the scale didn't strike the bottom of the toilet with particular force, but I'm afraid this is something you need to consider in buying one. Again, great up until the thing exploded on the bathroom floor. (Easy enough to clean up with a broom, I must admit, no sharp edges, just little glass nuggets.)
