1.) Accurate and cheap!

I purchased this because of the price and the convenience of not having to change the battery! Scale is accurate - matches my doctor's scale. However, if you are looking for an exact reading without having to count tick marks, this scale would not be for you.

I've had 3 digital scales that quit working after only a couple of years, so I went back to the dial scale and I love it. Maybe it doesn't register every quarter pound, but it's cheap and as accurate as my last digital and I don't have to put batteries in it every other week; a big gain to my mind.

Not pinpoint accurate, but for such a low price, this is a great bathroom scale. Digital is nice, but analog is cheaper and never needs new batteries.

I have not had much luck with scales in the past with working properly or staying calibrated right. This is an excellent scale that is easy to read and stays calibrated and has a wide enough base that you don't feel like you have difficulty balancing on it. Would recommend this product.

Big easy to read numbers. For the price, works just fine (and agrees with my Doctor's scale). I like the design also.

I agree, teh numbers are too small to know within 1-2lbs, but it seems to work well.
8.) Good cheap scale

This is a good scale - the dashes are very tiny so it is hard to read the exact weight from a standing position, but you can tell within a pound or two what it reads. It is accurate because I weighed myself before going to the doctor and the reading agreed to the doctor's scale. It also looks nice. I would recommend this if you are looking for an inexpensive non-digital scale and don't mind if it is hard to read the exact weight to the pound.
9.) Accurate and decent

It does what it's meant to do and it's 100% accurate 99% of the time.. See, sometimes, the little needle moves back a few pounds when you step on a certain way. Just move it back and make sure it's in the right area and it'll be accurate for you each time. How do I know? Weighed myself on 9 other scales and I'm EXACTLY the same weight on all of them. I used digital ones and regular ones from my family, friends and my doctor. If it matches my doctors scale along with 8 others, I'm pretty sure it's accurate!
10.) Tried and true analog style

I was tired of buying expensive digital scales where you have to replace the entire scale every 4 to 5 years due to the non-replaceable batteries, so I went back to the old-fashioned analog scale. This scale is made by Sunbeam, BTW, not Health-O-Meter like it says here. The footprint is large on this scale, my digital scale was made smaller than this and I was constantly losing my balance on it.
PROS: Large, easy to keep your balance on. No batteries to wear out. Inexpensive.
CONS: I have to reset the dial once a week. More cheaply made than scales from 20 years ago.

A nice basic scale, lightweight. Just make sure it is on level ground and zeroed out. If you move it, you definitely have to recheck that. It is a little hard to see odd numbered areas like if your weight is like mine 153, the 150 part is a white space in between 140 and 160.
13.) Good, basic scale
Reviewed by: L. A. Lamorte Pittsburgh, PA

Great scale if you want a basic, reliable measurement of your weight. If you are looking for detailed readings for weight management then this is not the scale for you, as it is hard to distinguish the smaller markings between the bigger 5 pound markings. Good bang for your buck, though.

15.) Numbers are too small to read, but it seems to work fine

You can really only see the numbers in increments of 10, in between numbers are represented by tiny little dash marks that you can not distinguish while standing.
16.) Only accurate to +/- 3 pounds

The scale contains a useful zeroing knob on the bottom, which allows you to calibrate the scale to zero pounds before use. However, when I used known weights to check the scale's accuracy, I found that the scale read 2-3 lbs for a 5 lb object.
That said, it seems to work okay for heavy things such as people. If you are using the scale to monitor your own weight, I think you can count on it to measure your weight within five pounds.
Not as accurate as I would like, because I'd like to know my weight to the nearest pound. I thought the advertised accuracy was a little misleading.
If you are tall (I am over six feet) the scale can become somewhat difficult to read--you'll know the general range of your weight, but when you bend down to try and figure out what it is to the nearest pound, the needle jumps around like crazy.
So, if you want a general purpose scale, for the cheapest price possible, and aren't worried about misreading your weight by a few pounds, then this scale is for you. If you're looking for something accurate to the nearest pound, or half pound, then look elsewhere.

I do not reccomend this scale, as it is not accurate. For example, I will get on the scale and it will go to whatever number, I'll get off and get back on it will show a different number. It is off by upto 5 pounds. I am contantly reajusting the scale to zero. So to sum things up, I have no idea how much I really weigh.
19.) Looks nice but poor quality...feels cheap, not accurate.

I just wanted a basic inexpensive and accurate scale, nothing fancy, and although the reviews were mostly mediocre I liked the way it looked and bought it anyway. When it arrived I found the quality to be much lower than what I expected...the platform was a hard plastic that did not feel sturdy when I stepped onto it; it felt very cheap, as if it were going to break. The scale was accurate for the first few days, but on about the 5th day my weight was about 20 lbs. off. I am dieting, but there's no way I could have lost 20 lbs. in less than a week. It's a good looking scale, but it feels cheap, not sturdy and not well made. I ended up buying a scale twice the price of this one; it's been about two weeks, and so far so good.

It's at least 5 pounds off, depending on how it feels that day (I've gotten as much as 10 lbs off when compared to the doctor's scale in the gym). Yes, I followed the instructions. Yes, I set it to "0" correctly. Yes, I used it on a hard surface. It's just a terrible product.
21.) Lousy scale, needle sticks

Yes, the scale is cheap. I figured it would be good enough for me, since I don't need tenth-of-a-pound accuracy, but this scale just doesn't work. I got a different weight every time I stepped on it. I think the needle that marks the weight sticks. Thank you, Amazon, for your easy return policy.

I read some of the other reviews, saying that the scale is off a little. Well, for my husband and I, this scale was off by about 60 pounds! It freaked me out for a minute, then I thought, "Calm down, that isn't right!" and then I laughed. I'll be taking this one back.
