This scale works great. The looks are kind of modern and sleek too. Accuracy wise, it seems to perform well compared to professional doctor's scales. The large backlit display is an added plus.

I ordered these scales after my "talking" scales died on me after 4 years. I could not be more pleased with my purchase--what impressed me is the styling of these scales. They are so thin!!
When I read that a leading consumer magazine rated these highly, I decided to give them a try myself. I have not been disappointed!!

This is an very accurate, slim and trim scale. After using a number of different kinds, we are very pleased with this one and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting just a bathroom scale. It doesn't calculate your BMI, tell you what you weighed last time or any of that (which you probably don't want to know anyway) - it just does the job of a bathroom scale and accurately tells you what you weigh!

You can measure large boxes cause the weight locks-in for five seconds so you can remove the item and see the weight. I love it, very accurate as compared to my doctor's scales...

I love it. It's very thin and attractive. The results are easy to read, stay on when you step off and have a blue light background. The batteries on my previous scale kept dislodging and these stay put.

Very consistent weight. That is all I ask for.

My old scale would swing a ridiculous 5 pounds a day. Per use by leaning!!!!! Old scale had serious accuracy reliability issue.

Escali has stable and consistent weight reading. Brightly lit, easy seen output.

Output accuracy compares well to doctors visit at 225#.

This scale would have received 5 stars IF it had come with working batteries. The enclosed batteries did not function - one had even leaked and rusted. Fortunately they were packaged separately and did not damage the scale. However, amazon.com immediately resolved the battery problem for me. Thank you, amazon! As far as the scale goes, it is very attractive and appears to be very accurate. I appreciate that you do not have to set it to "0" each time you weigh yourself. The low profile, slim styling is just right for the commode area in my master bath. The scale hugs the ceramic tile and performs beautifully. I like that it has an understated look; not showy like many of the scales. The display is oversized and backlit - also remains on for 10 seconds. This is a welcome replacement for my 20 year old Sears "electronic" scale! I chose the Escali brand based on Consumer Reports placing it in the top three brands to consider. I recommend this scale to anyone who wants an understated look that is attractive and very accurate.

I just received my Escali US 180B Slim Bathroom Scale today and so far it's Amazing and very Accurate. I weighed myself with my clothes on, clothes off and then with my clothes back on. It was right on point! I am only giving 4 stars because I just got it. So I will give an update in about 30 days. So far it's very ACCURATE and priced just right!

It's a great little scale. Just step on it and it goes. No need to tap the scale before using it. Very accurate too. However, as pointed out by another reviewer it looks like I paid about $10.00 too much. The Omega Ultra Thin Digital Bathroom Scale is a dead ringer for the Escali. You know they're the same darn scale. I'm feeling a little ripped-off.

12.) Great Scale, Simple, Easy To Read

I waited a few months to review this scale because I wanted to be sure it was reliable. I bought this Escali scale for my mother last Christmas, and it works great. However, I do need to mention that this is the second one. The first one had to be returned because the light stopped working. That's the only real fault that I can mention. Amazon exchanged it for us with no problems.

This one has been working great so far; over seven months now. The blue backlit display is very bold and easy to read, and the design couldn't be simpler. The scale itself is made of solid black plastic. (Polypropylene? Nylon?--I'm not sure which) It's similar to plastic kitchen cutting boards. It's very light weight, nice and thin, and very sturdy.

Another nice feature is that it uses 4 standard AAA batteries, which is a huge plus. There are two small battery compartments on the bottom of the scale on the right and left sides. All you have to do is put two batteries in each compartment, slide them shut, and you're ready to go!

Another neat thing about this scale is that there is a very simple button on the center bottom side that allows you to change settings from pounds to kilos to stone. So it allows you to weigh yourself in any of the three standards of measure. Just push the button until you get the setting you want.

I would say that this scale is very accurate. I compared it with our old beam balance scale, and it seems to be right on the money. Both give the same readings, and if you step on and off the scale several times, the results are consistant each time.

I would like to rate this scale a 5, but on balance, and after weighing all of its pros and cons (puns intended) I would have to honestly rate it a 4.5. I'm taking off the 1/2 point because of the faulty light on the first scale that had to be returned. It's an excellent scale, and beautifully designed, so I would highly recommend it. Especially for people with poor eyesight, or anyone who appreciates good design which follows the old K.I.S.S. principle. (keep it simple, stupid) This scale is as easy to use and as simple as can be.

This scale works great, and is really consistent in what weight it shows. It is thin and looks nice in our bathroom. too.

14.) Attempts to Cheat Repeatabiltiy Test

The scale uses a method of cheating on the repeatability testing performed by some publications and organizations. To demonstrate this:

1) Weigh yourself.
2) Pick up something weighing about 0.4 pounds.
3) Weigh yourself again.
4) The scale remembers the previous weight and redisplays it, instead of displaying the weight it is actually measuring now. In other words, it basically FAKES getting the same reading.

Only if the second weight is different by more than a pound or so from the first one can you be sure the scale is showing an actual fresh reading.

This makes the scale worthless for my purposes and I am returning it. Fortunately, Amazon provides outstanding service in such matters.

On the plus side, the scale is very attractive and has a large, clear display.
